Two-Tone Party Plates
How to make unique party plates for any theme or occasion.
Add “POP” to your party table with these easy to make two-tone party plates. Cookies cutters make it easy to trace the shape and customize the design for any theme or occasion. Match your plates to a solid color scheme or coordinate the plates with patterned napkins and cups.
Materials:
- Paper plates in two colors
- Cookie cutter or stencil for tracing
- Pencil
- Scissors
Directions:
- Turn one plate over to expose the white or plain side.
- Trace your desired shape using a cookie cutter, stencil or even a freehand shape.

- Cut the shape from the plate and then use that shape to trace the remaining plates.
- Simply place the shape on the contrasting colored plate.
1-2-3 Note: Before I get emails from complaining visitors, let me say that I’m not a big fan of using paper products once or twice a year for special occasions however, sure seems reasonable and makes a parent’s life easier. To assuage my guilt we don’t use paper napkins on a daily basis and rarely use paper towels. So is this wasteful…yes, but c’mon now and then it’s okay.
